12th FTW Recognizes 2nd Quarter Award Winners

The 12th Flying Training Wing honored its top performers during quarterly awards. Recognizing Airmen, civilians and teams for their outstanding achievements in the second quarter of 2025.

From instructors shaping the future of airpower to maintainers ensuring aircraft readiness, the award winners exemplify excellence, dedication and professionalism across the wing’s three groups and geographically separated units.

The second quarter award recipients are:

Airman: Senior Airman Dylan Huether, 558th Flying Training Squadron

Non-Commissioned Officer: Technical Sgt. Charles Jones, 558th Flying Training Squadron

Senior Non-Commissioned Officer: Master Sgt. Christopher Hinojosa, 12th Operation Support Squadron

Company Grade Officer: Captain Lucas Erickson, 12th Operations Group

Field Grade Officer: Major Malcom Nichols, 99th Flying Training Squadron

Flight Commander: Captain Viktor Rymniak, 98th Flying Training Squadron

Civilian Category I Non-Supervisor: Michael Torres 12th Maintenance Group

Civilian Category II Non-Supervisor: Nathaniel Ericson, 12th Maintenance Group 

Civilian Category III Non-Supervisor: Christopher Gardner, 306th Operations Support Squadron

Civilian Category II Supervisor: Juan Arenas, 12th Maintenance Group

Civilian Category III Supervisor: Douglas Bergman, 306th Operations Support Squadron

Instructor Combat Systems Officer: Captain Joshua Plummer, 479th Student Squadron

Instructor Pilot: Captain Benjamin Bryce, 306th Operations Support Squadron

Enlisted Instructor: Technical Sgt. Niklas Meyer, 98th Flying Training Squadron

Wing Innovation (Individual Award): Major Chun Choi, 451st Flying Training Squadron

Wing Innovation (Team Award): 558th Flying Training Squadron Innovation Cell

Volunteer: Britton Armstrong, 12th Training Squadron

Each awardee was nominated by their leadership and selected through a competitive process that evaluates performance, leadership, job knowledge and impact on mission success.
